Rainy Day Chocolate is a Sonoma County–based, bean-to-bar chocolate company dedicated to crafting exceptional chocolate with heart, intention, and integrity. What began as a love of food and flavor has grown into a business rooted in community, creativity, and connection—from the farmers who grow our cacao to the guests who savor every bite.
We focus on small-batch production, thoughtful sourcing, and flavors that are both comforting and adventurous. Rainy Day Chocolate exists to create moments of joy, support ethical cacao farming, and bring people together over something truly special—because sometimes the best days start with a little chocolate, especially on a rainy one.

Jennifer Daly's passion for food and flavor led her to chocolate making, but it was a visit to a chocolate factory that sparked the vision to bring bean-to-bar chocolate to Sonoma County. That moment set her on a path to building a company centered on craft, connection, and care.
Jennifer is most inspired by the people Rainy Day Chocolate touches—guests who fall in love with the flavors and farmers whose work and livelihoods are supported through ethical cacao sourcing. Outside the chocolate factory, she’s an avid animal and nature lover who enjoys gardening, cooking, and finding inspiration in the natural world.

Chris Sund feels like owning and operating Rainy Day Chocolate is a lifelong chocoholic’s dream come true. Chris thrives on creating and sharing handcrafted chocolates and confections. For him, the most rewarding part of the work is seeing people enjoy Rainy Day Chocolate in person and watching those small moments of delight unfold.
When he’s not developing new products or refining recipes, Chris enjoys outdoor adventures, video and board games, and raising three wonderful daughters with his amazing wife.
